Hope will not put food on your table.
Hope will not pay off your credit card balance.
Hope will not pay your rent.
Hope will not stop your car from getting repossessed.
Hope cannot get you a job.
Hope will not increase your savings account balance Month on Month, Year on Year.
God gives us hope (Jer 29:11) but we’ve conveniently converted that to our “Completely Exhaustive GamePlan.”
You hear things like:
Q: what’s your plan to pay off your debt or save up for that wedding?
A: I just really *hope/know* God will do it.
Actually, No. I doubt God will come down just to pay off your XYZ debt or put money away for your extravagant wedding.
Plan. Persevere. Pray.
Quit evading responsibilities. STEP UP to the plate, challenge yourself, and do what you need to do… ! 💡 Get help if you need to.💪🏾
I guess if you hope for something long enough, it may happen?🤷🏾♀️ nonetheless, Hope is not a strategy.
